Constitution of the Association


Name


The name of the association shall be the "Alumni Association of Hindupat Institute of Teacher Training, Raghogarh Guna", with abbreviation as AAHITT, and its membership will be open to all past students and teaching staff of the college irrespective of their posting or residence anywhere in India or abroad.

The organization hereafter shall be referred as 'AAHITT'.


Office

The office of the association shall be located at the premises of Hindupat Institute of Teacher Training, Raghogarh Guna, Madhya Pradesh – 473226.

Aims and Objectives

The association shall be non-political and non sect aria in nature. The principal aims and objectives of the association shall be:

a) To provide forum for alumni of the college for a get-together from time to time and to promote social, cultural, Motivational activities.

b) To promote Teacher Education, Social Science, Pedagogy, Psychology and science related activity and environmental awareness in the students.

c) To promote Nationalism and Bhartiya Gyan Parampara evm Saskriti related activity.

d) To promote defense and social sefty awareness activity.


Activities

In pursuance of the aims and objectives of the association following activities are proposed:

1. To organise an "AAHITT- Day" on the first Sunday in the month of March of every year as a social and cultural event.

2. Organisation of lectures by eminent scientist, sponsoring seminars, workshop etc. on science related subjects.

3. To interact with school students for propagating and popularizing basic sciences and earth science.

4. To encourage members of the association to enrich library of the college and library of various departments by donating of books or presenting of books on sciences.

5. To interact with the teaching staff of the college with a view to promote qualitative improvement in teaching specially in the newer emerging disciplines.

Rules and Regulations


1. Membership

The membership of the association shall be open to any person who was a student of the college. In other words it shall remain open to all students who have done their Diploma, Graduation and Post Graduation (D.EL.ED, BABED, BED, B.A., B. Sc. & M.A./M. Sc.) as a student of the college. The membership shall also open to all faculty members of the college irrespective of whether or not they were students of this college.

For becoming a member a person must

i ) Subscribe to the aim and objects of the association,

ii) Applies in writing for membership in the prescribed form and pays the prescribed membership fee and other fees, if any, on admission by the executive committee.

2. Classes of membership

The association shall have the following classes of membership:-

a) Life Member

Any individual paying in one lump sum an amount of Rs. 1000/- or the amount as may be prescribed by the executive committee.

b) Honorary Member

The executive committee shall have the right to elect as an Honorary Member any individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the society in the field of Teacher Education, Social Science and Science. While the Honorary member shall have the right to attend the general body meetings, he shall not have the right to vote.

c) Annual Member

If any individual not paying fee of life member then he / she can pay the fee for Annual Member and become annual member.

The fee structure for the Annual Members as follows:- For Diploma student Rs. 100/-

Graduate student Rs. 100/-

Post Graduate student Rs. 200/-

d) In addition to the above categories of membership the Principal of the college will be the Honorary Member of the Alumni Association.

Note:-

A) The fee structure is subject to revision by the executive committee, if in its wisdom it becomes necessary in future.

B) The association shall maintain a register of members indicating the name and address of the member, type of membership and the date of enrolment.

3. Suspension and Termination of Membership

The membership of any individual member, it shall be suspended or terminated if he is guilty of moral turpitude or a conformed criminal in the eyes of law, or his/her conduct is not in keeping with the accepted social norms, or has become insane, or has become insolvent. The executive committee suspends or terminates the membership of such a member with a approval of General Body only.

4. Rights and Privileges

a) Every member of the association shall be bound by the articles, rules and regulations of its constitution and by the decisions of the executive committee, taken from time to time.

b) Every member of the association shall be entitled to benefits, rights and privileges provided by the association. c) A member of the association can request the executive committee to circulate amongst members any information if, in the opinion of the executive committee, it is of general interest and likely to benefit the members.

5. Executive Committee

i) The affairs of the association shall be managed by the Executive Committee, which shall consist of the following:

a) President One

b) Vice Presidents Two

c) Secretary One

d) Joint Secretary.... Two

e) Treasurer One

f) Eleven Members

ii) The right to elect the executive committee shall rest with the general body of the association. The election to the executive committee shall ordinarily be held at the annual general body meeting for which the secretary, in writing, shall issue a three week notice in advance, to individual member.

iii) The executive committee shall appoint an Election Officer who will conduct the elections in the Annual General Body Meeting. The election Officer will be independent of the executive.

iv) If the number of nominations for any given office is equal to the number of posts, the election officer will declare the candidate as elected unanimously. If the valid nominations for a given post are more than the number of posts, election shall be held by count of hands in favour of the candidate, and the candidate acquiring more votes (hands) shall be declared elected.

v) If there are no nominations for a given office/post, the president on behalf of the executive committee shall propose a candidate who will then be declared elected to the post at the general body meeting, on gating his consent.

vi) Term of Executive Committee

The term of the elected Executive Committee shall be for a period of three years.

6. Duties of Office Bearers

a) President: The president shall preside over the executive committee meetings and regulate the proceedings. He shall supervise the administration and general affairs of the association.

b) Vice President: In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall preside over the executive committee meeting(s) and conduct the proceedings. If both the President and Vice President are absent, the member of the executive committee can choose one among themselves to preside over the meeting.

c) Secretary: The Secretary will maintain all records and carry out the administration work of the association under the overall supervision of the president/vice president. He will keep a record (minutes) of the proceedings of the executive committee meetings and general body meetings.

d) Joint Secretary: The Joint Secretary will assist the secretary in all matters as and when necessary. In the absence of the secretary he shall carry out all the functions and duties of the secretary.

e) Treasurer: Treasurer will be in charge of all funds of the association that will be deposited in a scheduled bank. It will be the responsibility of the treasurer to keep the account of all income and expenditure. The account of the association will be in the name of the association and shall be operated jointly by the president, treasurer and secretary. However, at a time any two of signatories can operate the bank account.

f) In case, the president ceases to function either because of illness or resignation or any other reason the vice president will automatically take over the functions of the president till the completion of the executive committee.

7. Duties of the Executive Committee

a) The executive committee shall meet at least once in four months. The quorum for these meetings shall be of 7 members.

b) The executive committee shall have the following powers:-

A) To supervise the general administration of the association.

B) To appoint committees or subcommittees this shall be directly responsible to the executive committee.

C) To recommend to the general body such rules and regulations or amendments to the constitution as it may deem fit, but consistent with the aims and objectives of the association.

D) To consider and approve applications for membership. The committee will not be bound to assign reasons for rejecting any application.

E) To acquire movable property through purchase or by way of donations for which proper record will be maintained.

8. No Confidence Motion

If there is a written request by at least ten percent members seeking no confidence motion against the executive committee on grounds of financial irregularity, moral turpitude, or any other act detrimental to the cause of the association, the secretary shall call for an extra ordinary general body meeting with clear 15 days notice in writing to all individual members fixing the date, time and place of meeting. The motion will be placed before the house for discussions followed by voting. For the motion to be adopted, a clear two-third majority amongst the members present will be required.

9. Raising of Funds

The executive committee on behalf of association shall have the right and authority to raise funds from individuals, institutions and organizations to augment its financial resources by direct appeal through donations, through advertisements and any other manner deemed appropriate by the executive committee.

10. Dissolution of the Association

If the circumstances warrant dissolution of the association, an extra ordinary General Body Meeting will be called to adopt such a resolution. The association will stand dissolved if the resolution is adopted by two third majority.

In the event of dissolution of Association the assets will go to Hindupat Institute of Teacher Training, Raghogarh Guna, Madhya Pradesh – 473226.
